This session introduces K–2 educators to the foundational writing strategies from The Writing Revolution, focusing on the development of strong, clear sentences. Through hands-on practice and grade-appropriate examples, participants will learn how to use kernel sentences as a springboard for sentence expansion, setting the stage for coherent writing in later grades.
This session will equip teachers with explicit guidance in how to deliver: blending lines, guided dictation, independent dictation, and intentional discourse to support word learning in the K-2 classroom.
